Positive step for Canada-Mexico relations 

The Business Council of Canada welcomed Prime Minister Carney’s invitation to President Claudia Sheinbaum to attend the G7 Summit in a statement from Goldy Hyder.

“A positive step toward restoring and renewing the close economic partnership from which the people of all three countries benefit.” 

“[The focus should be on renewing and extending CUSMA] “to provide stability and strength to all three economies.”” 

“To have her there, someone who has been very effective in managing and working with the President, someone the President has fondness for, is not a bad ally.”
