Getting the Canada-U.S. relationship back on track 

Goldy Hyder highlights the importance of the Canada-U.S. relationship, including the upcoming review and renewal of USMCA. 

“We need to be able to work with one voice and that voice in Canada.”

“The prime minister and president are going to have an opportunity at APEC in Korea, to at least say ‘hello’ to each other. Maybe from there, we can find a path back to some means by which we can put things back on track.” 

“We’ve got to pull our own act together here if we’re going to be able to have an opportunity to make progress, not only on the sectoral agreements, but frankly, we have to recognize there’s a long game here. And that long game here is a review and renewal of the (Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on trade).”
