Business Council of Canada hosts their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden, celebrates strengthened Canada–Sweden relationship

The Business Council of Canada (BCC) was honoured to host Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden during their visit to Canada, welcoming them for a discussion with Canadian and Swedish business leaders on the importance of deepening economic and strategic ties between our two countries.

The event highlighted the longstanding relationship between Canada and Sweden. The two nations share a commitment to open markets, innovation and economic growth. As NATO allies with complementary strengths across key sectors including digital innovation, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing both countries are well positioned to build on an already strong foundation.

“Canada and Sweden share a deep respect for democracy and a belief in the power of innovation to drive prosperity,” said Goldy Hyder, President and CEO of the Business Council of Canada. “By bringing together leaders from both nations, we are helping to unlock new opportunities for collaboration that will strengthen our economies and create benefits for people on both sides of the Atlantic.”

The BCC expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Their Majesties and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering closer economic, cultural and commercial ties with Sweden.
