The Business Council of Canada (BCC) is pleased to welcome Theo Argitis as Senior Vice President, Policy. In this role, he will lead the Council’s policy team, leveraging his substantial expertise in economic growth and fiscal policy. 

A well-known and influential voice on the Canadian economy, Theo was most recently Editor-at-large at The Hub and before that was Managing Director at Compass Rose Group, a prominent Ottawa public affairs firm. For 24 years, he worked as a reporter for Bloomberg News, including nearly two decades as Ottawa Bureau Chief. He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and completed his bachelor’s in economics at McGill, where he also did Ph.D. studies.
