Mr. Ronald N. Stern is the President and Chief Executive Officer at Alberta Newsprint Company Ltd. He is also the President at Stern Partners. Mr. Stern is the Founder at the firm and is involved in all aspects of its activities and acts as the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer at some of the firm’s operating companies. Mr. Stern practiced law for approximately 15 years as a Partner at a leading Canadian law firm, with an emphasis on corporate and commercial law … and various social interest matters. Since 1989, he has devoted his full time to the management of his business interests. Mr. Stern has been a Trustee of FP Newspapers Income Fund since May 15, 2002 and serves as the Chairman of Trustees. Mr. Stern has been a Director of FPGP administrator of FP Newspapers Income Fund since November 23, 2001 and also serves as the Chairman of the Board and a Director of FP Canadian Newspapers Limited Partnership. He was the Director of Kinrot Ventures and Vancouver International Airport Authority. Mr. Stern serves, or has served, on a variety of corporate and community Boards, including the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the Vancouver General Hospital and University of British Columbia Hospital Foundation, the Vancouver Symphony Society, the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy, and Science World British Columbia.
