Jon Love is the Executive Chair and Founder of KingSett Capital. Founded in 2002, KingSett has become Canada’s leading private equity real estate investment business, investing alongside institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients, seeking to provide sustainable premium risk-weighted returns through a range of fund strategies. Over the last two decades, KingSett has launched multiple funds covering growth, income, urban infill, mortgages, affordable housing and residential development. Today, the company has more than $18 billion in assets under management and over 170 staff across three offices.
Jon began his career in 1976 with Scotia McLeod as a retail stockbroker until joining Oxford Properties in 1980, where he rose from leasing roles to become President in 1987 and CEO in 1992. Under Jon’s leadership, Oxford went public in 1995 with a $50 million market cap and led $6 billion in acquisitions before leading the 2001 sale of Oxford to OMERS in a $4 billion privatization.
Jon holds an Honours Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School at Western University, where he also serves as an Emeritus Advisory Board Member. He is a member of the Business Council of Canada, the Chief Executives Organization and YPO.
Jon’s contributions to his community and business have earned him several honours, including an Honourary Doctorate from Western University in 2016, the Order of Canada in 2018, both the Ivey Business Leader of the Year Award and the NAIOP Rex Icon Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023, the Fraser Institute’s Founders Award in 2024 and in 2025, the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
