Mr. Thériault is a seasoned forest products executive with more than 30 years of industry experience. He leads Domtar’s pulp and wood products businesses and oversees the Domtar’s operations across Canada, with a focus on health and safety, operational discipline, business performance and long-term competitiveness.

Since joining the organization in 2002, Mr. Thériault has held senior leadership positions across finance, information technology, supply chain, sales, fibre supply and business optimization.

He also plays an active leadership role in Canada’s forest products sector.

Mr. Thériault is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) and Co-Chair, representing Eastern Canada, of the Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance (CLTA). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Binational Softwood Lumber Council, contributing to industry efforts on trade, market access and the broader North American forest products sector.

In 2026, the Government of Canada named Mr. Thériault to the Canadian Forest Sector Transformation Task Force, where he contributed to recommendations aimed at strengthening the resilience and long-term
performance of Canada’s forest sector.

That same year, Prime Minister Mark Carney appointed him to the Advisory Committee on Canada–U.S. Economic Relations, which advises the federal government on trade, investment and the broader bilateral economic relationship.

Mr. Thériault holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
