Mr. McClean was appointed CEO of Wajax in March 2026.
Prior to joining Wajax, Mr. McClean was co‑Chief Executive Officer and a director of The Master Group Inc., a leading North American distributor of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions. Previously, he served as President of Sonepar Canada Inc., a leader in B2B distribution of electrical, industrial and safety products, and was a member of the global executive committee of the Sonepar Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. McClean held senior leadership roles at National Tire Distributors Inc. and Acklands‑Grainger Inc., including Vice President and General Manager and CEO of its WFS Limited subsidiary. He began his career at General Motors of Canada Limited.
Mr. McClean is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
