Peter Tielmann is the President and CEO of the Palliser Furniture Group, which encompasses Palliser Furniture, EQ3, Encore, and Lexington. Palliser is the largest Canadian furniture manufacturer, with a robust manufacturing base in Mexico, Indonesia, and Canada, alongside a global distribution network.
Peter is the founder of EQ3, a direct-to-consumer furniture lifestyle brand that has grown into a national chain of retail stores, a thriving e-commerce platform, and an expanding global wholesale operation.
A dual citizen of Canada and Germany, Peter was born and raised in Germany, where he earned a degree in architecture and a graduate degree in business economics. He has spent the majority of his professional career based in Canada, combining his European heritage with North American entrepreneurial expertise.
Peter is an active contributor to both corporate and nonprofit governance. He has served on several boards, including the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, LCC International University, and is currently the Vice Chair of the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
Peter is married to Tara DeFehr-Tielmann, and together they have a daughter, Mila, who is pursuing her studies in Paris
