Business Council of Canada and Federation of Korean Industries Strengthen Economic Cooperation
The Business Council of Canada (BCC) and the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) held a CEO dialogue in Seoul today alongside Prime Minister Mark Carney, reinforcing the growing strategic partnership between Canada and Korea.
The discussions focused on collaboration in energy, critical minerals, clean technology and advanced manufacturing — sectors essential to both countries’ economic and security priorities.
This is the third CEO dialogue between the BCC and the FKI since the two organizations forged a strategic partnership in 2022.
“Korea is a vital partner for Canada — economically, strategically, and in values we share,” said Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of the Business Council of Canada. “Our businesses are deeply aligned in their ambitions to build secure, innovative and sustainable supply chains that benefit both our economies.”
The BCC emphasized opportunities for joint investment and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, including energy transition technologies and defence innovation.
“Canada and Korea have a long-standing friendship built on trust and mutual benefit,” added Hyder. “This dialogue is about taking that partnership to the next level — creating more opportunities for collaboration and shared growth.
